Isaac Watts’ 1767 Hymnal

“Isaac Watts, the famous hymn writer, spent years in language and Bible study. This led him to write some of his most famous hymns. For the psalms, he said that he wanted “to imitate rather than to translate” them for worship. His ‘imitation’ of the second part of Psalm 98 became one of the most popular hymns of all time:  ‘Joy to the World!’”  I make replicas of my original 1767 Hymnal by Watts that was printed in Boston.  I have a couple of them in stock.  Let me know, if you want one.  In the meantime, can learn more about this book and see how I make them on my web page at the following link:  Click Here
