John Wesley Got Saved

This Day in History: May 24th 1738 John Wesley got saved. “John Wesley feels his ‘heart strangely warmed’ when he hears a reading of the preface to Luther’s commentary on Romans at London’s Aldersgate Chapel. The event turned him into a soul-winner and essentially launched the Methodist movement; the day is celebrated annually by Methodists as Aldersgate Day and a Church service is generally held on the preceding Sunday.”
